Cameron has been involved in sport for Toowoomba and Queensland from a young age which lead him to being attracted to a profession in the health and sport industry. Cameron recently graduated from James Cook University with a degree in Sport and Exercise Science. While in his time at University he completed his Certificate III in Fitness to gain real life fitness industry experience while still studying.
Cameron’s main focus while working with Vision Exercise Physiology is to help improve athletic ability with athletes and sporting teams. He has worked with the professional NBL team the Townsville Crocodiles, serving as an intern while still studying, then later worked as the assistant strength and conditioning coach during the 2012/2013 season. Cameron’s believes that athletic ability comes from a strong base, this strong base allows for greater strength gain and the possibility of less injuries. Watching athletes pushing themselves, achieving goals and striving to be their best is what brings satisfaction for Cameron when doing his job.
Cameron still competes at a high level in basketball playing for the Toowoomba Mountaineers and being involved with volleyball and basketball coaching at Toowoomba Grammar School. Being able to pass on his knowledge, not only to his clients but to the future sporting stars is one of his much enjoyed pastimes.
