Since the start of this year, a long running program has changed its name from Heartmoves to Energise. The Energise program is a gentle physical activity program suitable for anyone who has not participated in any regular exercise in a while. Energise is open to anyone and is designed to be safe for people with stable long term health conditions such as heart disease, diabetes, bone or joint problems. This class lets you exercise at your own pace in a friendly atmosphere.
Energise may help to lower blood pressure and improve cholesterol control, manage weight, manage diabetes, improve balance and flexibility, prevent falls and injuries from falls. All Energise sessions include a warm up, cool down and stretching, aerobic and resistance training, balance, coordination and flexibility. The Energise leader will explain all exercises to you.
